Fixed Marriage Search and Social Media

I have always strongly contended and have been a staunch advocate of the “right SEO”, that, it is more logical for brands to maximize Twitter for SEO purposes and that in Facebook, there is no better way to earn followers but to “engage to be followed”.

Last year 2014, we saw this things unfold right before our very eyes.  The hard headed who thought “Google Zoo” has stopped its updating rampage just got their jaw dropping with the non stop changes in the search algorithm withPanda 4.0 Pigeon and Penguin Everfluxleading the way to get all the SEO hackers mind blown. As this happen, Google and Twitter had just re-shook hands for a reunion of sorts that claims a “mutually beneficial” agreement that brings back to search feed all relevant content from the micro blogging site.  Yes, it is a Fixed Marriage. This is good for twitter as it will heavily scale up traffic drive, usage and may eventually unfold their monetisation puzzle.  This is great for google as well, since this will be a real time source of fresh update.  Thanks to Google Plus who until now is still lost in limbo.  For brands who had an “illusion” of doing everything in Facebook might have just felt a Pacquiao uppercut as the uncanny founder announced what most marketers knew already, that Facebook will kill organic reach for brand’s Facebook pages starting as early as January.
